Registration of Specialized Services in Occupational Health and Safety becomes mandatory

From the effective date of the new NR-04 (November 9, 2022), published by MTP Ordinance No. 2318 of August 3, 2022, the organizations must register the Specialized Services in Occupational Health and Safety (SESMT) with the Brazilian Ministry of Labor and Social Security through the electronic address: https://www.gov.br/pt-br/servicos/registrar-servicos-especializados-em-seguranca-e-medicina-do-trabalho

It will be necessary to inform and keep the following data updated: the number of the Individual Taxpayer Registry (CPF) of the SESMT professionals; qualification and registration number of the professionals; degree of risk; the number of workers served per establishment and working hours of the SESMT professionals.

For services that are already in operation, but were registered in the previous tool (http://sesmt.mte.gov.br/), it will be necessary to make a new registration through the GovBR Portal: https://www.gov.br/pt-br/servicos/registrar-servicos-especializados-em-seguranca-e-medicina-do-trabalho, due to the provisions of Article 4 of Ordinance No. 2318 of 2022.

Also, as of January 2, 2023, the SESMTs in operation must be resized according to the new standard, and the registration must be completed. It is important to note that, before performing the procedure, the user must be linked to the CNPJ of the respective organization, according to the guidelines.

Finally, the previous registration tool (http://sesmt.mte.gov.br/) will be discontinued. All organizations must register their SESMT on the new platform, available on GovBR, even if they have already done so on the previous tool. Any questions should be sent to [email protected].
