1. The machines called swing arm press shall have following specific safety requirements, in addition to the requirements of NR12:
a) two-hand control trigger according to items 12.26 and 12.28 of NR12, installed adjacent to the swing arm, as shown in Figure 1 of this Annex;
b) emergency button according to items 12.56 to 12.63 and their sub-items of NR12, installed on the swing arm;
c) force less than or equal to 50N to move the swing arm; and
d) height equal to 1000 +/- 30mm from floor to the cutting surface

2. The machines called manual bridge type press shall have following specific safety requirements, in addition to the requirements of NR12:
a) fixed or interlocked movable guard at the top of equipment – carriage guide guard and front guard, in order to prevent accessing between mobile carriage and the machine frame, according to items 12.38 to 12.55 and sub-items of NR12 and Figure 2 of this Annex;
b) fixed or interlocked movable guards at the back of equipment that prevent accessing to risk zone, according to items 12.38 to 12.55 and sub-items of NR12 and Figure 2 of this Annex;
c) two two-hand control triggers in accordance with items 12.26 and 12.28 of NR12, installed on the mobile carriage, one for performing horizontal movement of mobile carriage, and other for ṕerforming vertical cutting motion, as shown in detail A of Figure A; and
d) emergency stop button according to items 12.56 to 12.63 and their sub-items of NR12, located on mobile carriage.
2.1 If the bridge type press has automatic horizontal movement, a frontal light curtain monitored by safety interface shall be adopted according to items 12.38 to 12.55 and sub-items of NR12.
